What is screen printing?

Screen printing involves creating a stencil, called a screen, and then using this screen to apply ink to the printing surface. Each individual color is applied using a different screen, one at a time, combined to achieve the final look. The more colors a design has, the more screens are needed and the more preparation time is important.

In screen printing, the ink is thicker than in digital printing, resulting in brighter colors, even on darker shirts. Screen printing is the best option for designs that require a high level of dynamism, specialized products or for quantities greater than 6 pieces. Although Magic Custom does not impose a minimum for screen printing, the price is generally prohibitive below 6 pieces.

FOR CUSTOMERS BIG AND SMALL... SCREEN PRINTING IS THE CORNERSTONE OF MAGIC CUSTOM !

Screen printing is at the origin of our activity and is still the major part of our work. With more than 20 screen printing presses and the ability to handle orders of all sizes, we enjoy working on orders from 10 to 10,000 - whether you're organizing a small family reunion or a large racing event.
Price factors:

Type of garment: For almost every type of product, we have a cheap, mid-range and high-end option, and there are many styles to choose from - not just t-shirts!

Quantity Ordered: Due to the configuration involved with screen printing, the more T-shirts you order, the lower your price will be as you pass price break points.

Number of locations printed: Each location requires a new configuration and new prints for your print. A front only print will always be cheaper than a front and back print.

Number of colors on each design: The number of colors on each design affects the length of the print run and the configuration of each location. A one-color print will be less expensive than a three-color print. If you have a lot of colors and color tones in your design, four-color printing may be a less expensive solution.

Date on Hand: Orders are produced on demand for your due date. Clothing needed a few days after the date you place your order will be more expensive than clothing needed a few weeks later.

THE EMBROIDERY

Embroidery is an art of decorating fabrics that consists of adding a flat or raised pattern made of simple threads to a fabric, sometimes incorporating materials such as sequins, pearls or even precious stones.
It can be divided into three main classes:

    manual: made by hand, using a needle or crochet;
    semi-mechanical: by embroidery machine;
     mechanical: industrial.

DIGITAL TEXTILE PRINTING (DTG)

Digital printing uses the latest technology to offer a solution for printing small orders (less than 6 pieces) with an almost unlimited number of colors in the design.

Impression numerique gtx brother

For many customers, this is a great way to get full color prints on just a few t-shirts. Screen printing an order of this size with a large number of colors used to be prohibitively expensive before the advent of digital printing. Also known as "Direct-To Garment" or "Print On Demand", the process works just like a traditional inkjet computer printer, but for clothing!

It allows you to obtain high quality and durable images.

Printing on any colored garment, recommended for dark printing on light colored garments for a better result.

Digital printing is a much newer process that involves processing your artwork by computer and then printing it directly onto the surface of your product. Digital printing is not a transfer - the ink is glued directly onto the fabric of your shirt. The fact that the design is processed and printed digitally means that you can get enough of it, since there is no screen or physical installation. Digital printing is preferably used for items that require a large amount of detail and/or print colors, for customers who require water-based ink, and for smaller quantity orders (5 pieces or less). The fact that the digital printer does not use a screen allows for photographic printing, with much more detail than traditional screen printing. Since the ink is applied more finely (to achieve such detail), digital printing is best done on lighter colored folders to allow the design to show through.
